“There is an air of expectancy at Morehouse,” Dr. Benjamin E. Mays, the College’s sixth president, once said. “It is expected that when a Morehouse graduate bears the insignia of a Morehouse Man, he will do exceptionally well; we expect nothing less.”

Another thing expected of a Morehouse graduate is that he will become part of a community – a community that will always embrace him like family.  Morehouse College’s alumni community is the embodiment of a phrase from the College Hymn, “so to bind each son the other into ties more brotherly.”
